There is a limit of one two-part workshop per registrant. The $25 "general admission, no workshop" rate provides admission to these craft talks, agent seminars, panels, and readings.

We offer 4 free community events, one on each night of the conference weekend:

  • Thursday, Sept. 10, 7:00-8:30 p.m. Sonia Sanchez Series lecture and reading by tba.
  • Friday, Sept. 11, 7:00-8:30 p.m. Keynote address by Evie Shockley
  • Saturday, Sept. 12, 7:00-9:00 p.m. Wild Women of Poetry Slam, with headliner and celebrity judge Mahogany Browne. Open mic at 7 p.m. by advance sign-ups, email slam coordinator
  • Sunday, Sept. 13, 7:00-8:30 p.m., Stars of the Commonwealth: readings by Carrie Green, Mariama Lockington, and tba, followed by a Q & A and a booksigning.
