Jennifer Haigh is the author of the short story collection News From Heaven (HarperCollins, 2013) and four critically-acclaimed novels: Faith, The Condition, Baker Towers and Mrs. Kimble. Her books have won both the PEN/Hemingway Award (for debut fiction) and the PEN/L.L. Winship Award (for an outstanding book by a New England author), and have been published in sixteen languages. Her short stories have been published widely, in The Atlantic, Granta, The Best American Short Stories 2012, and many other places. A native of western Pennsylvania, she is a coal miners' granddaughter and writes often about that region. She lives in upstate New York.
